Crock Pot Recipes
Add the meat to a large mixing bowl. Add the corn starch in small increments, tossing the meat around until all of the meat is coated evenly. Don’t worry if you see a tiny bit of clumping.
Cut the remaining ingredients to size then combine all the ingredients in a 5 qt crock pot.
Cook for 8 ½ hours on low or 4 ½ hours on high. Before the last half hour, taste and adjust seasoning accordingly.
Serve with your favorite rolls or biscuits in a stew bowl. Garnish with some fresh chopped parsley or thyme.
* Tip: Slightly freeze the bacon before cutting, as this makes it much easier to work with.
1 jar Bottled Thyme Bordelaise Sauce
1.5 lbs beef stew meat- dice into 1 inch cubes
as needed corn starch
Salt and pepper to taste
8 oz pearl onions- peeled
2 medium carrots- cut into ½ inch slices
¾ pounds mushrooms- quartered
2 thick slices bacon- cut into strips of 1 inch by ¼ inch (optional)
1 pound potatoes- large dice
