Crock Pot Cooking
October 9, 2016

The crisp bite to the morning air, while the leaves burst into bold, colorful treasures for our eyes are some of the pleasures that fall brings. Others may think of the smell of fireplaces burning for the first time while looking forward to comfort food. One of the goals that Bottled Thyme has is to provide healthy and delicious meals without having to sacrifice a lot of time.
Cooking with a crock pot, while saving a lot of time and clean up, also offers other benefits to these delicious, one dish meals. The slow cooking process involved with crock pots

allows for "cheaper" cuts of meats to be used, as this method will tenderize even the toughest cuts of meat. Meats and vegetables retain more of their nutrients through cooking at a much lower temperature. One of the most over looked benefits to a crock pot is the savings on power usage, as they only use small amounts of electricity.
Each week, Bottled Thyme will be sampling one of our ten recipes that can be done in a crock pot. We will be featuring one of our specialty sauces, with an easy to follow recipe (all ten of the recipes can be found under the "crock pot cooking" tab on our website) and showcasing the benefits of crock pots. You can find where we will be by following us at www.Facebook.com/BottledThyme
